Lorraine Nicholson was born on April 16, 1990, to actors Rebecca Broussard and Jack Nicholson. Lorraine was named after her father’s sister, and she has three half siblings and a brother who is two years her junior. Lorraine received her first film credit at the age of 13 in Something’s Gotta Give, starring Diane Keaton, Jack Nicholson and Amanda Peet. Her role was a small walk-on part as a young girl in a market, but the exposure was enough to get her into the business and catch the attention of casting directors. It also didn’t hurt that her father’s nepotism made the initial job possible.
In 2004, Lorraine appeared in the romantic comedy The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, starring Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway. In the film, she played Princess Lorraine, which wasn’t a major role, but it was only her second acting gig and she was again working with some of the top names in the field. Lorraine was 16 years old when Adam Sandler’s Click was released. In the time-jumping film, Lorraine played one of Adam's and Kate Beckinsale’s daughters.
Lorraine Nicholson has a bright and full future ahead of her. She began 2007 by breaking away from small roles, as she took her first leading role in the animated feature Fly Me to the Moon (2007). The film is about three houseflies that hitch a ride on the Apollo 11 during the 1969 launch to the moon. Lorraine plays the part of Katie, and she is joined by accomplished actors Tim Curry, Nicollette Sheridan, Kelly Ripa, and Christopher Lloyd, who also lent their voices to the film.
